 Abstract for  R12:  Business Flow Accounting In Financials Accounting Hub (FAH) Webcast: 

Oracle Financials Accounting Hub (FAH) is used to account for third party transactions.  The Business Flow Accounting feature of FAH allows the accounting of downstream transactions (i.e., payments) to be derived based on the accounting of upstream transactions (i.e., invoices).  Our discussion will focus on how to utilize Business Flow Accounting in FAH.  This session is recommended for technical and functional users who have a basic understanding of the components FAH and want to learn about the Business Flow Accounting feature of FAH.  We recommend reviewing Doc ID 1465987.1, Accounting for Transactions from a Custom Application Using R12 FAH, prior to the webcast.

Recurring Journals in Oracle Fusion General Ledger - Calculation Manager (Doc ID 2095911.1) ABSTRACT In Oracle Fusion Applications, the Allocation Manager is used for allocations and formula recurring journals to provide a solution that improves usability and performance. The Allocation Manager provides an allocation wizard that is easy to understand, and formula components that provide functionality for recurring journal formulas using the features of Oracle Essbase. HISTORY Traditionally in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), MassAllocation or recurring journal formulas were defined to allocate financial amounts across a group of cost centers, departments, or divisions. However, two issues were commonly cited:      • The user interfaces for defining MassAllocation or recurring journal formulas were not easy to understand.      • Generating MassAllocation or recurring journal entries could be time-consuming due to performance issues. In Oracle Fusion Applications, the Allocation Manager replaces MassAllocation and formula recurring journals to provide a solution that improves usability and performance. The Allocation Manager provides an allocation wizard that is easier to understand, and formula components that provide equivalent functionality to recurring journal formulas. DETAILS The Allocation Manager provides the following features:      • Distributes revenues or costs with recursive allocation rules.      • Creates complex formula rules using formula component.      • Contains an Allocation Wizard to define allocation and formula rules.      • Uses real-time check of rule definitions to validate correctness of rules.      • Minimizes setup and maintenance with reusable components.      • Simplifies allocation generation process by integrating with Enterprise Scheduler Service (ESS).      • Groups rules together in rule sets to cascade allocations for processing efficiencies.      • Creates primary, statistical, or foreign currency allocation and formula rules. SUMMARY Define recurring journal formulas for transactions that you repeat every accounting period, such as accruals, depreciation charges, and allocations. Your formulas can be simple or complex. Each formula can use fixed amounts and/or account balances, including standard, actual amounts, statistics, and period-to-date or year-to-date balances from the current period, prior period, or same period last year.

 Financial Accounting Hub - Tax (Doc ID 2633193.1)

Tax engine is used in subledger application such as Receivables, Payables, Procurement etc for tax calculation. User can then transferred the calculated taxes into Financial Accounting Hub (FAH). It is not possible to use Tax engine to calculate tax in directly in Financial Accounting Hub (FAH).

Oracle Fusion Accounting Hub Reporting Cloud Service

Correcting or updating the invalid entries created by Fusion Accounting Hub though UI is not supported.

However you can submit the "Accounting Hub Maintenance" process from the scheduled process in the Purge Invalid and Unaccounted Transaction mode to delete accounting transactions that are imported into Accounting Hub for a particular ledger and subledger but are not yet accounted successfully. Later, you can modify the source value as needed and import the corrected transaction data again.

FAH: How To Purge Erroneous Accounting Hub Interface Data And Edit A SLA Transaction To Fix It? (Doc ID 2554670.1)

1. How to Purge Erroneous transactions from XLA Tables:

The uploaded transaction data is kept in the Accounting Hub Cloud for 90 days. Exceptions include:
  Transactions that are used to create multiperiod accounting entries. This type of transaction is kept until the end date of the multiperiod duration.
  Unaccounted transactions. These transactions are not purged, even if they are more than 90 days old.

In 19C release there will be a new feature to allow the purge erroneous transactions.

2. How to Edit SLA transaction on the Review Subledger Journals Screen? The Edit option is disabled.
- The user needs to have the duty role Accounting Hub Integration
- The transactions are not edited using the pencil available on the Review Subledger Journals screen, for this reason this pencil is not enabled.
- To edit a transaction follow the navigation: Review Subledger Journal Entry > Search for the transaction > Transaction Summary tab > click on the View Transaction button > Edit the transaction.

3. Why some SLA transactions are not found on the Review Subledger Journals Screen even when providing the transaction number?
The Review Subledger Journal Entry UI searches in xla_ae_headers not in the xla_headers table. Transactions that are not in the xla_ae_headers will not be shown.

Questions on Accounting Hub Transaction Upload Template (Doc ID 2721457.1)

Q1. User has enabled Feature 'Transaction Reversal in the Accounting Hub' introduced in 19B New Features
1. Does the Accounting Hub Transaction Upload Template always expects the spreadsheet columns must be in same Order ?
2. If yes, does template need to be the same across the instances ?

User's requirement/expectation is :
Accounting Hub Transaction Upload Template Columns must be flexible and adaptable to the Other Integration applications i.e,
regardless of the column order does the source(Integration) application sends the data to upload transaction template.

Q2. Does the user need to keep the Transaction Upload Template aligned across the instances ?

A1. Here are the key points to follow :
1. From 19C, it is mandatory to use the Flexible Configuration feature (introduced in 19A) and it is enabled by default unless you go and disable. Ensure the feature is enabled.
2.This will give a transaction template in a specific format. If you modify the format, it will not work.
3.There is a dependent feature – Transaction reversal, if you enabled it, you should download a new template.
4. Don't manually tweak the template. Every time you add a source, download a fresh template.
5. Adjust your transformation logic to suit this template.



A2. The template will change if you enable new features such as Transaction Reversal or add new sources.
Currently, there is no other feature that will change the order of the columns in the template.
So, as long as the setup is cloned across instances, or the Subledger is created using the same spreadsheet without adding sources manually in the Manage Sources task, the columns to be in same order across different instances.

R12: XLA: Is it Possible to Use FAH (Oracle Financials Accounting Hub) to Generate Statistical Accounting Entries? (Doc ID 2986577.1) To create a Statistical Accounting (STAT) entry using FAH (Oracle Financials Accounting Hub) the following attributes must be set in your defined journal line type (JLT). "Entered Currency Code" attribute to STAT "Entered Amount", and "Accounted Amount" attributes to the amounts (Entered and Accounted should match since there is no rate conversion for STAT) "Conversion Date" attribute to the current date (truncate the date so there is no timestamp) "Conversion Rate" attribute to 1 "Conversion Rate Type" attribute to User If the entry is going to be part of a journal with other (non STAT) entries the "Journals: Mix Statistical and Monetary" profile option must be set to Yes. To Modify a Journal Line Type (JLT) do the following: From the FAH responsibility navigate to Subledger Accounting Setup -> Accounting Methods Builder -> Journal Entry Setups -> Journal Line Types Pull up the desired Journal Line Type Click on "Accounting Attribute Assignments" Here you can pick a source for each attribute that will set them per the comments above. REST API Status Codes (Doc ID 2631262.1) When you call any REST resource, the response header returns one of the standard HTTP status codes listed in the following table. These status codes refer to a three-digit number in the response header that indicates the general classification of the response. For example, the codes indicate whether the request was successful (200s), or resulted in a client (400s) or server (500s) error. The 400 and 500 classes of status codes help in troubleshooting bad requests. Unable To Update Data types For Subledger Sources After AHCS Rules Are Setup (Doc ID 2596591.1) On : 11.13.19.07.0 version, Manage Events User is unable to update data types for subledger sources after AHCS (Accounting Hub Cloud Service) rules are setup. Created a new subledger application with AHCS header and Line source information. Once the application and sources were created, later, users realized that one of the source JE_CATEGORY_NAME was given a wrong data type as Date. Ideally, this should have been a text data type. The accounting rules using the source information are already created. Under tab Transaction Information user JE Category Name JOURNAL_CATEGORY_NAME Date, there is a need to update this from Date to Text. What are the options? How can be changed the data type of the source from Date to Text?   SOLUTION This scenario has been checked with SLA development team and the following information has been confirmed: 1. Changing the data type is not allowed post source system setup creation, neither delete is allowed currently. 2. One option is to try adding a new source with the correct data type and pass the values using the new source, the other source created by mistake can be ignored while passing data. Unable To Export A CSV File For The Journal Entry Rule Sets Error: The size of the XYZ file for business object ABC is beyond the limit of 10MB (Doc ID 2632428.1) SYMPTOMS On :  11.13.19.07.0 version, Other Issues When attempting to export the csv file for the Journal Entry Rule Sets, the process ends in Warning and no rules are exported. ERROR ----------------------- The size of the XML file XYZ.xml in batch JournalEntruRuleSet/1_BATCH.zip for business object Subledger Journal Entry Rule Set Journal Entry Header Assignment is beyond the limit 10MB. STEPS ----------------------- The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps: 1. Setup and Maintenance 2. Fusion Accounting Hub Offering 3. Functional Area: Accounting Transformation 4. Manage Subledger Journal Entry Rule Sets 5. Actions > Export CSV file 6. The process ends in warning.   CAUSE 10 MB was the file size limit for import and export, this is expected behavior as the system was designed with this restriction.   SOLUTION 1. Until the new code was delivered, the user needed to break down the files that were larger than 10MB. 2. With the new feature delivered in release 19D via Bug 28667152 - FILE SIZE LIMITATION DURING BATCHING AND HIGH DATA VOLUME SUPPORT, users are allowed to increase the file size limit from the Manage Setup Data File Sizes screen. The file format and use is shown below: - Zip File Size in MB. Indicates the size of the configuration package zip file. - XML File Size in MB. Indicates the size of the setup data files in XML Format for each individual business object. - CSV File Size in MB. Indicates the size of the setup data files in CSV Format for each individual business object. The functionality to Reset the size to the predefined value is also provided. Preferable Solution: All users with access to the Enterprise Information page will have access to see the setup data file size information in read only mode. Users with access to Manage Setup Migration Settings privilege will have access to see and update the setup data file sizes.
